Harvard MGH Med-Peds

Evangeline Galvez, MD Thank you for your interest in our Medicine-Pediatrics Residency program. In the late 1980s, med-peds training in Boston began here when a handful of visionaries decided to leverage the enormous strengths of the MGH Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics to train doctors who could provide outstanding clinical care to both children and adults, and who could teach, lead, and conduct research in both disciplines. They succeeded.

Today, our core departments at MGH remain steadfastly committed to providing outstanding clinical training, bringing to bear all the resources of a quaternary care general hospital. For example, we are blessed with three fully-combined medicine-pediatrics continuity practices, where residents see both children and adults during the same clinic sessions, precepted by med-peds and Family Medicine attending physicians. We are also proud of our growing cadre of med-peds faculty (about two dozen), whose interest areas span primary care, academic medicine and the subspecialties. We hope you will consider joining our community.

Warmly,

Evangeline Galvez, MD
